I wonder what Michigan State thinks of Nick Saban.
They probably think he's a hell of a coach, especially after that 49-7 arse kicking he handed to Michigan State in the 2011 Capital One Bowl.

Did Miles keep up the success at LSU that Saban had? Stick to the radio. At least there you are able to just hang up and not have to defend your nonsense.

I was being sarcastic because it's obvious Saban's a better coach than Dantonio. I was trying to point out that both laid the foundation for future success.

I think it's taking too much credit away from Mark Dantonio to say that Saban should have credit for Dantonio's success. Remember...Saban left Michigan State for LSU in 1999. Dantonio did not take over the Spartans until 2007. There's a pretty sizable gap there. Sure, Saban may have stabilized the ship in East Lansing, but Dantonio has done pretty well for himself.

A lot of them dislike Miles b/c of the way he left. However, a lot understand why.

Joh Klein article
I read another article where the author made a case for rebuilt OSU, there were four guys mentioned: Pickens, Miles, Gundy and someone else I can't remember. CLM helped, with others, to lay the groundwork. Coach Gundy has made it even better.
He's probably been the Mad Hatter for a while.

Here is the oyster soup recipe you asked for.
Ingredients
1/4 cup finely chopped onion or sliced leek
2 teaspoons margarine or butter
1 pint shucked oysters
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 cups milk
1 cup half-and-half or light cream
1 tablespoon snipped fresh parsley
1 tablespoon chopped pimiento (optional)
1/4 teaspoon ground white pepper
1. In a medium saucepan cook onion or leek in margarine or butter until tender but not brown. Add the undrained oysters and salt. Cook over medium heat about 5 minutes or until oysters curl around the edges, stirring occasionally.
2. Stir in milk, half-and-half or light cream, parsley, pimiento (if desired), and pepper. Heat through. Makes 4 servings.

Miles did well at OSU considering what kind of team they had before he got there, I'm sure they think he is a good coach.

Had no idea his baldness was showing back then.

But probably upset about the way he left, rightfully so. Mercenary coaches are the norm nowadays, as long as Gundy gets paid he'll stay, if not, he'll leave.

Gundy is an Okie State alum so he might stick it out there.

Probably, plus in the B12, they are a power. I'm just saying, he better get paid. Don't get me wrong, mercenary has a bad connotation, but with contracts in the hundreds of millions, the loyalty issue is secondary I think. Coaches at an institution for 20 years will be a rare thing.

Gundy was around 55-70 on the salary list before this spring IIRC. They low balled him for years and wouldn't re-up him. Gundy was serious about looking around if they didn't bring him closer to fair market value.
Colorado was ready to line his pockets. Arizona and Arizona St. both were looking hard at him.

Gundy is better than Miles for OK State. Long ago OSU had another guy like Miles, his name was Jim Stanley.

Right. One of the unintended consequences of the TV market explosion that started in the 80's. Stints like Paterno, Osborne, Bryant, Bowden, etc...are going to be pretty rare I think.
