let me explain.... I think Alabama is still a year or two away from a real ,legit #1 type team.(Still, they could go on and be like Oklahoma in 2000).

Alabama doesn't have any one player or group that puts fear in you.Nonetheless, they play as well as a "team" as any team. They know what their strengths are as well as their own weaknesses and dare you to shut them down or expose them. They are dialing up the right buttons and it works.

I thought LSU matched up well and had numerous chances to have won,but Alabama just wouldn't be denied. LSU gave them their first 'test' and they passed with flying colors. Georgia,Tennessee and Clemson couldn't match their physical play and the others couldn't match their talent.

We were equal on both sides and they still came through.Congrats on your win and West title.

I agree. We will have to get a QB up to par next year for SEC play. I think 2010 will be special if our seniors stay.

Our defense may keep us in some games next year.

Bama's 1st 11 on offense and defense are as good as anyone....but, the depth is not quite there yet. With Saban's recruiting, he will have a team with a lot of depth that can survive injuries to starters and not miss a beat. Bama only gets better over the next couple of years, even without JPW.

The key to the future is getting a QB. I think you will be in the same situation with Star that we are in with Kodi. Maybe AJ McCarron will be the man in 2010 as a redshirt Freshman.

well if their new QB does not play like jarett lee, and plays at least average like matt flynn, with a lot of talent around him offensively and defensively, and with saban as coach, they will definitely compete for a NC.

There may be one or two (dozen) LSU fans with the same ailment...

Couldn't have said it better myself.

LSU is the toughest match up we will have all year not counting whoever we play in the bowl game maybe.

I think Bama matches up better with Florida than they did with LSU. LSU is just better on both fronts.

Well said, I-59.
I said that I would be surprised if Bama has more than 8 wins this year.I'm surprised, but I still think Bama is a yr or two out.
