So are you equating the SEC champ this year with say, 2020 Bama?

Nope. The days of Saban level dominance are over. For any team. SEC, B1G ACC, Big XII etc. the new landscape of big time college football has watered it down some, but also there are only a handful of coaches out there that any admin would trust to coach their football programs to relevancy (a team like Nebraska) or dominance (a team like Bama, LSU, UGA, Ohio St).
