That's because in yankeeland, people don't really talk to each other, and especially don't talk to new people they don't know. Everyone is stiff and boring and unfriendly

I don't wear sports stuff while traveling because I'm a fricking adult and dress as such.

But, cool story bro etc...

False, midwestern people are genuinely friendly and talkative to strangers. I'll give you that southerners are more polite...but friendly to strangers? No.

If I wore a Mizzou shirt in Birmingham, I dont think people would come up to me with big eyes and smiles. Just putting that out there.

I do live in the city. Why on earth would I move to St. Louis and live out in the middle of nowhere?

Did that for 18 years in KY. Would head back there if I wanted country.

I live in St. Louis and to be honest I don't see a whole lot of Mizzou gear. I mean this in as honest a way as I can when I say the rest of the SEC is notorious for people wearing their teams gear around. When I go home I never want to wear a UK shirt because my god everyone has one on. I get a little embarrased because 85% didn't attend the university..... but that is a another issue. I see almost as many Kansas, Illinois, Missouri State and Indiana folks around as I do Mizzou. And the Cardinals clothing is most definitely a year round thing. Don't let them fool you.

You're high. Missouri State? Indiana? I don't even think you live in St. Louis. Nice troll though. In the last 20 years I have seen one person wearing Indiana gear and that's because my old baseball coach came to visit from Indiana. Missouri State? That's on the completely opposite side of the state. SLU gear? Maybe. But Missouri State? You don't even know what you're talking about.

I will give you Illinois due to proximity, but there's hardly any kU gear around town at all. Again, that's clear across the state.

It's not to say it never happens, but no, Cardinals gear is typically not worn year round though I applaud those that do.

A) They probably would because Bham is heavy UAT country.

B) I don't think anyone, including Auburn, has any hostility toward Mizzou yet.

C) It wouldn't be a shirt, it would be a hoody, obviously, because you're from the north

Still don't believe you live here at all but if you do live in the city, sorry. I hope it's at least on the northern part of the city. South city can get to be scary.

I live in Clayton and work downtown across from Busch Stadium. And no I am not trolling you. I see plenty of Indiana around here. Also maybe the MO State was wrong.... is there a Southeast Missouri State? Its a maroon shirt/ hoodie.

Why does it bother you that people around here wear lots of Cardinals gear. I swear year round thats the primary thing here. Its everywhere. Don;t lie to yourself.

First, Clayton is not the city. You're still wrong about Indiana. More cred if you say Illinois because that has always bugged the crap out of me. And the Cardinal gear doesn't bother me and I'm not saying it doesn't happen at all. Like I said, I'd applaud people wearing it year round. It's just plain and simple rarer in the winter. The Cards will always be #1 in St. Louis, but saying it's the primary thing year round gives the impression that that is all that's talked about. Outside of blurbs about he recent additions to the Cardinals, all of the talk on radio has been Mizzou, with a smattering of Blues and Rams.

That pitch was a LITTLE outside. Want to wind up and try that again? Spot your catcher first.

I live in West county and I see at least twice as many people wearing Cardinals gear as wear Mizzou gear, even in the winter.

I'll explain some of the difference here. In my family, all of the males follow Mizzou, but everyone (male and female) follows the Cardinals. If my family is in any way typical, that's makes twice as many Cardinals fans as Mizzou fans.

No shite because its a separate entity, but transitioning from one municipality to the other is unrecognizable. The city streets are all connected and you wouldnt have known you even left St. Louis proper. And to your original point its no where close to country.
