We were until last night. When you a lose baseball game, you have no shot at the CWS anymore.

Losing a game is okay but when your Friday night pitcher is trash , it's going to be a long conference season for you.

Beat state 2 out of 3 and by a score of 10-1 in in the game he pitched. After starting so shitty last year and making a run to the CWS and going deep in it you'd think state fans would know nothing that happens right now really matters.

I do enjoy poking LSU with a stick when they lose, its good wholesome fun for the whole family, but in baseball you get a lot of games like that early in the season.
You are still getting your pitching rotations into place, the weather is usually meh, and all it takes is for things to derail a little before they completely jump off the tracks. It happens.
We will learn a lot about LSU today and tomorrow. Do they bounce back from a disappointing loss the way their talent suggests they should?

As usual with LSU, their team (in any sport) is vastly overrated while the fans swear they are the greatest thing since sliced bread. Rinse repeat.

LSU baseball always starts slow. Then we go on some ridiculous win streak because some swamp creature scares some pudding pop sec team and we catch fire.
LSU is always extremely hot or cold sports.
