Are you thinking the guarantee is to the player or the money men funding their NIL and wanting to see the guy they paid for play?
I would think both could be in play. Mostly the player or handler as a way to increase exposure and therefore NIL, but I can see a big donor wanting their NIL investment pushed if school wants help again. For the donor scenario it depends on if donor is expecting to use player for advertising, to show up to company events, and so on.
It will be interesting to see if revenue sharing starts to dry up the pay to sign/play only NIL from donors. I think some players and donors will attempt to keep NIL as is initially, but eventually the school is going to need those donations to cover revenue being shared. I don’t think pushing it on students and season ticket holders is going to wash at many places.

There is terrible QB play happening all over the country
I think there is terrible play happening more than just with QBs all over the country. It’s just at least currently with the transfer portal and NIL limiting back ups and development have brought some level of parity that is masking it for now. It’s not parity because all teams are same level right now at least, but as season goes on there are more and bigger differences of strengths and weaknesses creating more match up issues that an overall superior team can’t overcome as often in the past with next man up or just being completely dominate elsewhere.

Last year after the So Fla game, players went to Saban’s office and said they wanted Milroe. They made it work.
Facts are Milroe is the most explosive talent Alabama has on offense. The RBs are ok but nothing special like Henry, Harris, Lacy, Ingram as in years past. WRs, besides Williams, are ok. Again no #1 draft picks I see at this time. Simpson would have gotten murdered behind Bama OL vs OU.

NIL deals aren't supposed to be signed until they are on campus
NIL deals are not supposed to be tied to a school so they can be signed at any point. But wanting the money without the “work” being done is a huge issue.

You couldn’t be more wrong. Is that you Jalen Milroe?

Bama backs are average. Bama WRs besides Williams don’t scare anybody. frick their HS rankings. Those are how their opponents play them.
