Is Relf the only position player that you could argue is better than LSU's position player?

Ballard is as good as either of their RBs and both WR corps are average at best.

That's the only one that's even debatable bro

34 on offense

Yeah, I think lsu could score about that much or more on state.

weren't you a big JJ fan saying he would eventually be a good starter? how about that prediction? don't throw rocks when you live in a house of JJ

I sure was. That was coming off a 17 td 7 int season. He regressed to throwing 4 td's in the regular season. Not many saw that type of regression coming especially with all the offseason sunshine pumping from 09 to 10.

But that's all over with now.

Now state has to deal with a legit passer again.

Just like 2008 when lee went wild as a redshirt freshmen tossing his best game of the season against state.

There were some serious licks being laid by both sides in the Aubie game. Im looking forward to more carnage Thursday night.

28-14 LSU with one of MSU scores coming late

I do not believe MSU will run the ball consistently and I do not believe Relf can beat LSU secondary

did you watch Vick Ballard last Saturday or are you being a rebman601? he looks like an all-SEC back.

It's pretty sad that the optimistic picture offered by the OP was a heartbreaking OT loss-- one in which MSU held one lead all game, and lost because it couldn't punch it in against a worn out defense.

I'd hope that State folks were still 'grindin' for a win.

I don't know what to expect from LSU's offense, but I can't see State being very successful offensively if they are one dimensional.

I will say this...

Merlin's team rarely gets blown out, especially at home. He does a good job slowing the game down against superior opponents. Anyone saying LSU wins by more than 17 is crazy. They'll win, but it won't be a blowout

agree

Bama 2009 is the only team to blow out Merlins' at home. Every other loss has been under 10, I think.

Two totally different teams/schemes/offenses.

But lsu will run the ball down states throat and pass sparingly. Miles will keep doing that over and over again. with ware and somewhat with ford giving him a breather

Then in the second half when the miss st defense is gassed, those two and three yard runs will be 8 and 10 yard gashes by ford and blue.

It will be frustrating.

What will be even more frustrating is the int's relf will throw from the hurries and pressure.

The lsu defense is well rested. States is beaten and battered from a slug fest with auburn.

Should be really interesting to see how it all plays out, but that's my prediction.

42-17

I was at the LSU game last Saturday...I saw that offensive line struggle early vs. a glorified high school team. They'll have success but don't act like LSU will be running for 300-400. Auburn's success came on the edges with all the gimmicky shite Gus Bus loves to do.

Auburn's run D will likely make every RB they face all year look all-SEC caliber

He didn't look anymore special then Utah State's RB against Auburn

The only game he ran like that last year was Arkansas 2010. He's a shite ton better this year.

It's not the starting 22, it's the 85 players you have to account for with lsu this year.

Depth is something that lsu has been missing.
