OM finished 16th or 18th in rushing
Last season, Ole Miss finished 18th in rushing, 82nd in passing, and 43rd in total offense. State finished 16th, 86th, and 42nd. Both very close.
Anyone care to predict whether State or OM will finish higher (better) in rushing, passing, and total offense in 2011?

WLB - Cam Lawrence
MLB - Gatling
SLB - Maye
Are you an idiot? For one, Gatling graduated and would have never started at MLB. Maye will start at MLB, not SLB. IF he were to play SLB, Brandon Wilson would be the starter at MLB.

I don't see any fall-off on our offense this Fall.

Me either. I see us being much better on offense actually. Going to have more atheticism at WR and 10 returning lettermen on the OL, not counting Matt Hall who may start. Our size on the OL is pretty absurd, I must say.

Me either, better OL. I see greater production in the passing game for State and slightly better production out of the running game.

Agreed. Losing Masoli is the only real reason to question and that's because he brought in game experience. He was still a 1st year player in our system though. But I think Mackey and Brunetti both have better skill sets with Brunetti having better intangibles than both.

A new LT in this conference is never a good thing. Teams attack it like Bundy attacks Quay in the halls of Morton High School.

Should be close again. It's the defensive gap that separated us. Gotta close in on that

This. A full-speed Kentrell Lockett will abuse a new LT. And imagine if we had Shackleford still behind him as a LB.

I know I've said this 1000 times, but I'll say it again. With the spread-option offense that we run, the left tackle isn't nearly as important as it would be if we ran a pro-style offense. I'm not saying that Sherrod wasn't a huge loss (he was) but it's not as big a deal as people would like it to be.

I was talking about Ole Miss having a better line then last year. Does Ole Miss have a new LT?
