And. Here. We. Go.

I think the decline of the B12 coupled with our door being one to the best conference in the land are two factors many tend to overlook.
These are recent changes in favor of Mizzou maintaing the TX pipeline, or at least not losing it entirely.
in my opinion, the decline of the B12 in prestige and competitevness will only get more pronounced as the effect of losing 1/3 of their members and replacing only half of them with (IMO) subpar programs overall begins to sink in.

Question to the Mizzou fans...do you think the recruits from Texas are wanting to go to Columbia or do they stay within the Big 12 area? I think that the move to the SEC may hamper the pipeline you had in Texas and you guys may have to look elsewhere...thoughts?
I think the staff is already working themselves out of Texas, at least not on the same level as the past. We are establishing a presence in FL,GA and in Memphis here in the early going. We also have been much better inside our own borders unlike years in the past.
The bottom line is we will have to pull recruits form other parts of the SEC footprint in order to compete. We will still recruit out of Texas but not anywhere near the level of the past 5-6 years.
Recruiting will be the biggest question for the program moving forward

You guys really think you can pull out of Georgia? Right now, UK is getting scraps and some hidden gems in the state...I just do not seeing players heading to Mizzou when they can stay closer to home.
Now the Memphis pipeline maybe interesting if you can pull it off...hell, even the Vols have not cracked that vault recently...majority of players do not qualify or they head to Ole Miss.

We are starting to make Memphis a priority...Gotta couple guys out of there last year and looking to take a few more this year
Mizzou pulling out of TX is a mistake

So Piggie, are you disputing UK does not havea pipeline in Georgia? Majority of the players come from the state...majority of them are 3 stars that have been over looked by UGA and Tech.

I've learned pulling out of Texas is never a good idea.

suga- I'm not sure they are pulling out all the way.

I dont think we are pulling up stakes just adding to our list of targets the talent rich SE. We will focus on where we start to get hits. We have 8 offers to GA and 7 to TX as of this week.

The offers in Texas will go up and we'll get 3-5 guys out of there this year.
