During a production meeting prior to ESPN's telecast of the Chick-fil-A Bowl on December 31, 2010, Franklin addressed sideline reporter Jeannine Edwards in a condescending tone as "sweetcakes"; when she objected, Franklin called her an "a-hole".

I don't think anyone would ever reject someone like Alyssa unless you were an Aggie fan.

upon further research, I think the Holly Rowe incident in 2005 just limited his broadcast appointments and the Jeannie Edwards incident in 2011 got him fired. here was the exchange I found
quote:

The Franklin-Edwards exchange came before the Florida State-South Carolina game. Franklin was talking with two fellow announcers, Rod Gilmore and Ed Cunningham, about Gilmore’s wife, Marie, who was elected mayor of Alameda, Calif., in November.

When Edwards tried to join the conversation, Franklin allegedly responded, “Why don’t you leave this to the boys, sweet cakes?” according to the Web site Sportsbybrooks.com, which first reported the incident. (Edwards later told USA Today that Franklin used the term “sweet baby.”)

When Edwards objected to Franklin’s comment, Franklin allegedly responded, “Okay then, [expletive].”

I like her and her co-host on out of pocket. They know their stuff and can talk football. Also like Laura Rutledge as well. Cool girls. Guys girls which I am a fan of. Girls that have more dude friends than girl friends.
