Well, Mullen whipped your arse with 2-stars in 2014- just wait and see what he does with 3 and 4-star guys

thats the think like 80% of every Mullin's class is 3 stars. Sometimes a few more 4 stars, but really his classes are about the same every year.

Miss State doesn't have enough 4 stars on their team over the last 4 years to to field a starting 22 of 4 stars.

Also its a bit of a myth that he had all 2 stars. If the 2 stars were playing its because sometimes 2 stars get better.

What Miss St had going for it was experience (i say for the 8th time) they lost a lot of that experience

You can cut it, slice it, and bake it any way you want, but the reality is this.....Ole MIss, banged up and hurting, made Dak Prescott look like a junior high football player and a deer in headlights ALL game long in the Egg Bowl. It doesn't matter if YOU ranked ahead of us in the end....we still beat the best team MSU has ever fielded in the last 25 years or longer. Unless you are saying you were overrated?
We clobbered MSU every which way but loose and then made your coach show his butt at the press conference afterwards to confirm how bad it really was! It was the best win for Ole Miss all year after Alabama. It came down to pride and determination. It showed the nation what a class act Ole Miss really is. No threats...no muttering...just smash mouthed in your face football. We will savor that Egg Bowl for years to come.

Predictions are just that....somebody's guess. We showed that Dak and company can be stopped in the Egg Bowl. And he can be stopped this year, too.
As for rankings.....that takes an entire season to decide. Let your ranking in last place inspire you to prove them wrong or get mad a live up to their guess.

The best State team of the last 25 years was the 1999 team imo

We won't finish last, but it's fine if they want to predict that. It was probably the same the year before. The media knows MS State football about as well as the Brazilian soccer team, so I'm never interested with their guesswork.

Ole Miss being ranked at #3 is setting OM fans up for failure. If Bo Wallace was returning, I could possibly see that. It would be a wild guess for sure. Auburn, Bama, Arkansas, and possibly LSU can always mess things up for both of us.

Only real questions, where we are counting on someone who hasn't played much is replacing Wells.

You know who is replacing them, but are you going to get better?

McKinney is significantly better than his backup
Wells is better than his backup
Smith is better than his backup
Eullis is better than his backup
Love is better than whoever will be playing across from Redmond. You could say that Redmond is an improvement but it seems like the other CB rotated more than Love who got 57 snaps.

And look at rushing attempts on your offense- Dak 210, Robinson 190

No one else above 50 carries.

Also Offensive Line is took huge loses. You had a good team last year and lost a lot of players form it, rarely do you get better after that.

Its not even that y'all will be a shite team. Its just that the west is a fricking buzzsaw, and a lot of the team you beat last year brought back most of their team and you didn't.

I wish I had the willpower to link all the posts last year from each of State's weekly opponents already claiming victory because of the suspect pass defense that was 300th in the country.

Now this year the reasoning is State lost all that talent and experience on defense.

I wish i could link the threats from every other year, where Miss St lost by a fricking ton.

Miss State fans act like they were the greatest team ever, and only recruited five stars who all played 80% of the game secretly. and the the guys who started for the last 2-3 years where just for show.

Why does this topic upset you so much? You seem to be clinging on a tad too tight. Lighten up.

LINK

Check out the 5th rated CB going into 2015

Eullis is better than his backup

No he's not better than Nick James

quote:

Smith is better than his backup

Smith is a better pass rusher- but as you can see here- Jefferson is way more physical- he plays the run better:

Wells is better than his backup

yes

McKinney is significantly better than his backup

No. McKinney had 70 tackles to Richie Brown's 50 this past season. Richie constantly came in for McKinney because his pass coverage was shite

Perkins had 140 carries at RB vs Robinson's 80 in 2013. We turned out ok at RB in 2014.

Shumpert has 95 carries his 1st 2 seasons- he will be ready to go

its not about being ready its about being good. If he was as good as robinson he would have got the ball more.
