I know everyone's sick of all the Nick Saban and Alabama threads, but I just thought some of you might want to see how much of a jerk he really is.

quote:

My dad talked to a guy once whose son was being recruited by both Miles and Saban. The boy being recruited had a sister with Downs Syndrome. She was excited to meet Saban, but he walked in for a visit and didn't want anything to do with her. When Miles came to visit, the girl ended up sitting right beside him for the whole time, and the boy signed with Miles (at OSU.)

I've heard from multiple teachers at LSU that Saban was a dickhead. But, I guess he's not hired to be nice.

Well, everybody knew he's a good coach...but you're really just now finding out that he's an a-hole?

He was a great guy while at LSU. He didn't become an a-hole until he signed with Alabama.

people here knew how abrasive he could be when he was here. but he was winning with LSU - so people overlooked that.

If the Bayou Bengals can somehow deliver another 10 win season, Miles will finally be out from under the Saban umbrella and far away from any more comparisons to Larry Coker. Come up short, and cheap LSU trucker hats will be a dime a dozen on ebay

I don't think that's fair. 9-3 is the best record we've had in an even year in the 00s.
09 will be the year LM can be adequately judged. We've won the West in every even year in the 00s. If that stops, then we've got a problem.

My bad. I thought that 2006 team finished 11-2. I guess I drank too much that year and didn't understand as clearly as you.
