60-66% of BYU students have served full-time missions for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Over 95% of BYU students are active LDS members, Missionary service is strongly encouraged but is not required.
Members of LDS:believe Jesus Christ is the divine Son of God, the Savior and Redeemer of humanity, accept the virgin birth, miraculous ministry, crucifixion, and bodily resurrection., view him as essential for salvation, with his atonement enabling forgiveness of sins and eternal life and center worship on Jesus, using the Bible as scripture testifying of him.

The OP asked how BYU was competitive. They aren’t. They have an all time winning % of .583. In an 11 game season that’s 6-5
in an 11 game season thats 7-4
yeah, huge difference

For years we've seen Touchdown Jesus in south Bend, IN but maybe he is tired of the Fightin Irish and has relocated to SLC. So how does he feel about football, what are his preferences?
What the rest of us want to know is does JC believe in punting on 4th down or going for it? Hurry up offense or huddle first? Run on first down or option to the near side?

But the problem with having "Jesus" as the second part of an eternal godhead is that it means that the Adam/Eve/Apple/Talking Snake exercise was rigged... because if they hadn't eaten the apple... there wouldn't have been any need for an earthly Jesus.
I've read this 3 times and I'm not really understanding your point here.
Can you explain further what you mean by "rigged"? I always enjoy reading other people's insights and thoughts about The Fall of Adam and Eve as I find it to be one of the most widely misunderstood Christian concepts despite it being so very early on in the book of Genesis.
If they hadn't eaten the fruit of the tree of knowledge of good and evil, then Adam and Eve would have remained forever there in Eden. They would be in a perfect immortal state of sinless innocence for time eternal. They would have no knowledge of procreation as they didn't even understand the concept of 'nakedness' until after they ate and gained knowledge. So, it would just be them two, forever.
