Just like "Glory to Ole Georgia" is a unique fight song?
I swear, I thought yall were supposed to be the creative ones in the state

Speaking of distinguishing ourselves, I think this helps us a little:
Hate it for ya, but we gots 2 logos ya knows.

You're right, our third song in the list of Georgia Tech traditions is borrowed. I am so ashamed.

Glory, Glory isn't our fight song. Hail to Georgia is our fight song, Glory is just a song we play a lot so people assume it is our fight song

You should email your thoughts to Durden and let him filter them. You're terrible at this.

Interesting fact: Did you know that "Up With the White and Gold" contains a few notes from Dixie by design?

Doesn't surprise me. The hypocrisy of playing the Battle Hymn of the Republic probably wouldn't seem so large if the Redcoat Band was still The Dixie Redcoat Band and the band still played Dixie like every other SEC school used to do. But I'll conveniently ignore all the PC bullshite associated with such things so as not to risk going off on a "UGA is an intolerant group of racists" tangent

Dixie is a very pleasant sounding song, especially at a gameday pace. But Bobby Dodd made us quit it between 3rd and 4th quarters and we replaced it with the Budweiser song.
Obviously I feel bad about all the things people perceiveit to represent, because it doesn't mean those things to me, but what can you do?
