When I first deployed to OIF back in 2003, FOBs didn't exist. We built two of them (McHenry and Gaines Mill) 7 months in to our deployment. At the time we deployed, we didn't know how long we were going to be there until Ironhorse 6 told us during the commander's brief "call your families and tell them you won't be home for Christmas".
Also, you're really dating yourself considering that OFS didn't begin until 2015 (It was called OEF before then) and OIR didn't begin until 2014 (it was OIF, then OND then a 3-year gap before then)

That still was one of the funniest things I've seen on this board. "Montgomery Hill" claimed that I wasn't who I said I was and that he could prove it. I called his bluff and hilarity ensued.

Not so sure about the "great guy" part. We all know that Kyle Allen was a whiny bitch, but the way he was treated during the 2015 Ole Miss game was downright cruel and it was done to cover up the fact that Cryler Murray was suspended.
