Starting pay for a special agent is decent. Round $60k I think, depending on your assignment.
Starting pay in intelligence, however, is on par with a public school teacher.

Yeah.. if I'd tried that route(which I was not qualified to go as far as federal), it would have been in the early 90's. And at that time it was all about the ATF or US Marshal's. As it were, I left that field altogether.

It would be a nice pay increase as I only made 47k last year according to my taxes
