You're describing every single college football powerhouse ever. Bama, USCw, LSU, OU, geez Notre Dame, Ohio State, Florida, etc. It's not a phenomenon peculiar to Texas (or any school for that matter).

True, but after yall lost to Bama in the MNC game yall didn't even make a bowl the following year.

That's a little extreme compared to Bama, USCw, OU, LSU, OSU, and UF.

I don't think UF made a bowl a couple years ago right? I can't recall.

The point is, each team I mentioned has had periods in the last 20-25 years that were down (losing seasons, no bowls, etc). It happens - if Texas can keep it to a two year down period, I'll be happy. And to be fair, I agree with whoever said that it's inexcusable for a school like Texas to miss a bowl. It is a gotdam embarrassment.

Edit - I looked it up, UF has made a bowl every year since 1991. Bad example.

Why is that a stretch? You barely challenged in the Big 12.

I'll be here to laugh at you when La Tech spanks that arse.

If cockgobbling is a team sport, I imagine they'd be unbeatable.

Hey La Tech will be a decent team. They have a good senior qb and are primed to make it a close game. I could see A&M overlooking them to the Florida game.

I don't blame you one bit for wanting to watch real football. You might check out our SEC schedule as well. Should be fun. Who do the sips play this year of note? OU? Anyone else?

Never figured out why A&M got under their skin so much.

Most of our fans realize it will be a good game. Sumlin and the other former UH staff members coached against La Tech last year and know what they have to offer, I'm not worried about us overlooking it at all.

Glad we don't play them anymore. However, unfortunately for us Aggies, we have to deal with them everyday. Whether in our workplaces, our homes, extended family, the homeless, or the people that mow your lawn, its part of our daily lives.

Damn, thats remarkably like living in Alabama and having to deal with the gumps. They are either cutting your grass, changing your tires, or flipping your burgers. They are everywhere. And everybody is related to at least one real idiot gomer.

LOL......in the 16 years of Big 12 competition, Texas has won exactly 3 football championships. That's less than half the number OU has won, and only one more than Nebraska who hasn't been in the league for 3 years. Seems you guys aren't that competitive either.

I watched that entire game and La Tech should have beaten Houston. Epic melt down in the fourth quarter and La Tech blew a huge lead.

Houston had to come from behind more than once last season. If I remember correctly UTEP was up by a couple of TDs at one point. Houston could score some points though. Except against USM.
