How would legalizing Pot affect college football players?

I'm getting the feeling this legislation to legalize Pot just might pass. If it does, I wonder how it will affect the college athlete? There's always some player getting arrested for this. Will the Georgia/Florida game become the Cocktail/Pot Bowl?
I'm guessing nothing will change. It will just be strange for this to now be legal with age limits.

Even if it is legal doesnt mean the coaching staff or the universities will tolerate it. Sure it could be legal but does anyone really think a coach would let some QB or anyone else start knowing he is probably a pothead and getting high before the game starts.

Alcohol is legal, why would pot problems be any different regarding number of instances, punishments, allowance from head coaches, etc?

No possible way it passes, especially considering it is an election year.
Also, I don't think it would be legal (as it would still be illegal to grow, sell, etc) so much as decriminalized.

I don't think so harper, how many potheads mug people for weed money? How many potheads get into brawls over stupid crap while high? The only difference I can see would be the drastic decrease in cases tying up the court system, and more room in the prisons for REAL criminals.

Are we talking about pot control? Or gun control? Besides, the weed dealers that I...uh,...know of....aren't the gun toting, stand on the street corner, slinging product types that you see dealing the harder drugs. Its more like a Mom n Pop grocery store.
Also, the gun criminals are exactly the REAL criminals I think need to be in prison instead of the pot heads.

no, i'm talking about how the drug trade and gun crimes are directly related. not joe the friendly neighborhood dimebag dealer, i mean the people who move any decent quantity.

Question: Will it be legal for 18-21 year olds? If so, I can see a challenge regarding alcohol not being legal for that same age group.

I don't think anyone has thought that far ahead. I honestly don't think even the sponsors believe it will pass.
