Oh don't worry, it's what we do. The fun part is you never know which unit is going to be the special one to do it each week.
I have to admit....I haven't watched y'all a lot, but what I have seen is so out of character for Alabama teams. In the back of my mind I feel like Saban is trolling us all and Saturday the real Alabama will jump out and yell, "GOTCHA!"

One week the defense can't tie their shoes and chew gum. Then the next week the offense looks like they've spent the past 4 nights on a Vegas bender. It's truly a mystery show!

We really, really, really lost a lot from last year. In talent, but more importantly in leadership. Moreso than I think most of us understood - and I think we all knew that we were losing a lot. That team last year had 8-10 guys who was veteran, grizzled leaders (Mac, Dickerson, Najee, DeVonta, Forristall, Leatherwood) who had been through the wars for years at that point.
When they all moved on, we just had a huge void, and nobody really filled it in the offseason, which is understandable. We've had some kids step up and really start to try to lead by example, play and talking throughout the year (Will Anderson, Bryce lately, a few other young kids), but they're still young and you can't really start that mid-year and expect to magically get better. It's a good group of guys, they play really hard and truly don't stop playing until the game ends no matter the score, but they're just kind of a rudderless ship at times.
Most of us have come around to the fact that they are flawed as hell but really do play their asses off and have kind of accepted them as our oddball Saban team

Was this supposed to be "mighty", or are you trolling us?
I'll leave it for you to ponder.

Could y'all give us some examples of these weaknesses on Saturday? Please? Pretty please?
Our Offensive and Defensive Coordinators are potatoes. Our OLine has more holes than a Texas whorehouse.

BoB definitely has some tricks up his sleeve for this game.
I actually think UGA will whip out some magic. Or at least i hope so.
Darnell washington has about 10 targets on the season. And he has caught everything thrown his way. At some point, he has to be unleashed.

The only trick up his sleeve I want to see is him leaving for the LSU job.

Understandable, though. Leadership isn't something tangible. you can't measure it. A fan can't see it. Usually the people on the team that are the leaders are completely different than the ones the fans think.

Those type teams can be the most fun to watch. For Alabama fans it can add a certain amount of drama. Y'all are so used to winning, not knowing how a game will end out can be exciting.
On the other hand, it can be very nerve wracking and frustrating for a coach. For a coach it isn't very fun at all. With Saban's high standards he expects the players to step up and almost create an assembly line kind of transition....leadership wise.
When i was a high school freshman one of the star players from varsity would come and pick my brother up to work out before school. Every morning at about 6AM he would show up and we would lift weights, wrestle....do whatever it took to get ready for the coming season. he ended up at UGA as a linebacker. That was leadership.

You guys get raided every single season. it's hard to keep back filling those positions year after year. Then back fill all the positions left from players graduating and leaving early, PLUS keep them focused.
People have no idea just how extraordinary a job Saban has done.

I don't think Bama has the juice to win this weekend. Having said that, you bastards better skullfrick everyone on the way to your CFP trophy.

It could be one of the easier paths to a championship in the last several years. But, things happen sometimes, so it's hard to say. If we beat you guys, I like our chances with the other teams.
