It really depends. But the lowest games coached used is 5 years(it years since the amount of games player per year has changed a lot).
A lot of alltime sec coaches lists go by 100 games coached.

Lsu has beaten most of the best ooc programs we have played under Miles.

West VA 2x
Notre Dame
Ohio State
Miami (when they were good)
Tcu
Washington 2x
Arizona
Arizona St.
Oregon St.
North Car.
Wisconsin
Texas A&M hasn't come close to beating that many great programs in the last 10 years.

Miles is a better coach than Sumlin and it's not close.
Since Miles was hired no program has beaten more ranked teams than lsu.
No program has been ranked in the top 25 more weeks than lsu.

1. That was before 2002 that they were considered exhibitions. None of those years are at issue here.
2. Even before 2002, bowl games were used in calculating a team's final record and ranking.
3. An OOC game simply means non conference. LSU's claim is "non conference regular season," which is a smaller portion of OOC.
