Go back and watch the analyst predictions on espn and cbs. Every single one chose LSU.

By most reports, and from what I saw sitting in there, LSU had a noticeable numerical advantage.

We're deeper at Safety too. Lester/Sunseri/HaHa/Landon.

At this point no way you can put Sunseri over Loston (at very least equal)......and whoever the frick Haha is he has a great name....also I can put a guy on the list that has never played a down before too.

I haven't read every one of his posts, but there's nothing crazy about what he asked in his post..just said what do you think the chances are of LSU repeating as SEC champions..which, to the seasoned SEC fan and apparently the media, is a pretty good one

I'd take Sunseri over Loston, ANY DAY.

Same, but mostly because Sunseri is much more of a playmaker.

LSU is loaded and should repeat as champions

Chickens. Haven't. Hatched. Yet.

quote:

If they repeat, they will be the first team to do so since Tennessee in 1998.

Is that really an analogy you want to make?

quote:

If they can win, how long can their reign of dominance in the nation's toughest conference continue?

Reign of dominance?

Seriously?

Florida had a reign of dominance in the early and mid 90s when they won 5 out of 6 SEC titles.

LSU has had a nice run since 2001 but you can't seriously call it a "reign of dominance".

SEC titles since 2001:
LSU 4
Georgia 2
Auburn 2
Florida 2
Alabama 1

SEC titles from 1991 to 2000:
Florida 6
Alabama 2
Tennessee 2

quote:

Media and coaches say LSU can repeat.

Media has a very poor track record of predicting SEC champion. This is a fact.

It was a slight LSU advantage....not nearly as much as 03 and 07....I'd put it at 55-45 or 60-40 tops.

Although I will give you that most LSU fans were dumb enough to think before the game that we were going to outnumber Bama fans like we did Oklahoma and OSU.

You must have missed the part where he said that the LSU Bama game could get ugly for Bama. LOL

I know everyone here thinks this is homer, but LSU wasn't as "big" last year as they typically are due to Moffits off season training prepping for the fast pace O of Oregon. It's pretty known that they are being Moffitized this off season and the D line will be much more effective against Bama. I'll see if I can find a link. I'm on my phone at work .

Well I was in the stadium and it was maybe 55-45. Not the same thing as Saturday Night in Death Valley at all.

You can try to downplay it all you want but it's the best home field advantage in college football. It's definitely worth something.

I'll be in the stands in November. Really excited to finally get to watch a game there.
