Ole Miss has been Arkansas-level terrible

Ole Miss fans have such misplaced arrogance. Arkansas is a better football program over the last 50 years than Ole Miss.

He won 6 games and 5 games under a shite ton of turmoil that he did not create. He's recruiting in the 20s and hired 2 solid coordinators. If you think that is the death penalty then you don't know what the death penalty is. We hired Sylvester Croom and kept his terrible arse for 5 years. He kicked off so many players that we played his first 2 years with under 60 scholarship athletes. The NCAA didn't make us do that. He just did it because he "wanted men of character". He proceeded to have more players arrested during his tenure than Jackie ever did and won about 3 games a year while refusing to change his offense when it was clear that it would never ever work. Now that is the death penalty.

All of this happened due to a 5 year investigation (sound familiar?) that turned up nothing but a few minor things that Jackie just proved in court were the result of an Ole Miss booster screwing an NCAA investigator. As you know, the cloud over the program leading up to probation causes more problems than the actual probation.

Losses: Alabama A&M LSU Mississippi State

No loss to Mizzou in Columbia on Homecoming (the tradition we invented)? Maybe i'm hopelessly blind for my team but I would like to think we handle Ole Miss in this situation... I'd go as far to say a loss in that situation might even put Barry Odom on a slight hot seat? Losing that game honestly seems like worst case scenario...

Edit: after reading your full post, I see your predicting "tight games" against Bama and LSU... ill take this thread lightly.

I know its splitting hairs but to be honest saying a guy has the potential to make an all sec roster is different than just saying yeah we potentially have 11 people that are gonna make the sec all defense team.

I mean lets me honest, a lot of those guys have the potential to be at least 3rd team all sec.

But yeah I would agree it's not at all realistic to say they all have the potential

Also he's not saying Mac could be COY he's saying he has won coach of the year in the past

And the reality that OM fans don't want to accept is that they are, generally speaking, about a 6-win program. Every once in a while they'll spring up and win 10 games, and just as often they'll lose 9+. That's what they've been for 50 years.

There is nothing interesting or intriguing about this Ole Miss team except for the possibility that they might be the worst SEC defensive unit in history.

That's not getting fixed in 1 year with no major overhaul in talent

If players just line up in the right formation, it will be better than last year.

maybe so, but that's not the point...the point is, would you expect to lose going into the game if MSU played them?

No we would not, but MSU is going to be a lot better than Ole Miss. the 2 are not on equal ground roster wise so that makes no sense. Ole Miss will be a double digit underdog in that game. Hell you are nearly a touchdown underdog to Memphis.

That's funny, I'm thinking along the same lines about you right now. You are VERY hopeful for the dumpster fire that has been Ole Miss football over the last few seasons...

Being honest about the OP prediction, I would switch the A&M loss with Mizzou

But at least you were honest here and took that horrid call back. I'm glad your counterparts to the south at least show a little respect, I would be hesitant to gloat about a possible win against them... but you? Your "predicting" your win strictly off the premise that "We expect to beat Mizzou" - It's truly funny, seems like you seem a little insecure over the thought of losing to the new members - A&M gets to handle you every year, now its our turn.

See you in COMO, this should be fun

EDIT:

Did a bit of research... Historically your "expectation" has always resulted in a huge let down

Yeah, but that D could move up 20 spots in the rankings and still be last in the SEC.

Y'all need to recruit some DEs and LBs. Maybe DT.I don't know who's behind Benito but he's a stud
