Remember too that their best player was suspended for the first 4 or 5 games because of some stupid NCAA rule over selling his bowl game jersey.

Yup... we started 1-4 with Green out the 1st 4 games. We had a RFr. QB & a new DC...

We finished the reg. season out 5-2 losing by 3 to UF in OT & to BCSNC AU...

Had a shitty bowl game performance vs UCF to finish 6-7...

Stallings was not fired. That is just revisionist history from idiots like auburnphag and Ironpup.

And Paul Finebaum. Say what you want about him, but he has connections to the UAt. But please tell us why he resigned?
The revisionist will say burnout, which is bullshite. Bob Bockrath was an idiot, but he had some money support behind him.

yea that was a particularly bad loss and cost them the SEC East and trip to ATL.

I think he has 2-3 years to really do something, which will include winning the SEC, and barring that he's going to be on a hot seat.

He is a professional pot stirrer that would say anything to get attention to his show. Not exactly a trust worthy source to wholeheartedly believe, but you would be one to buy it all, hook line and sinker.

Alas, we will never know the facts, but we do know the facts of Chiz and Fulmer, so lets get back on track.

That was the ITAT thing during the Tubberville heyday. Bama has fired X number of coaches since Bear, blah blah blah.

PF says he was forced out, CGS says he wasn't, which makes it a "he said, he said" type thing. Who ya gonna believe?

If you read our board or listen to our fans here, Richt is on the clock...

We snatched the hottest DC in the land away from FSU & he immediately improved our "D" in EVERY category that stats are kept...

We lost Bobo but signed an OC who all our committed recruits love & he's already got a commit from a Top 5 QB for '17 coming in right behind the top QB for '16. Even Schotty can't frick up this Offense in the next 2 years with Chubb et al...

We've ramped up our recruiting efforts & staff the last 2 years, we've added 10 of the "Quality Control" personnel to assist the coaching staff in recruiting & evaluations like the other top schools are useing. We've increased our 2016-2017 football budget by 20%. We've committed $40 million dollars to build the finest multi-sport indoor facility in America...

Again our new President has somewhat neutered our "profit margin" AD & told him to give CMR what he needs to succeed...

Most all UGA fans know that we've now got the support, money & commitment to facilities that we've been lacking for years so that we are now a player in the SEC & that we're gonna compete in the SEC "Arms Race"...

Me personally, I like CMR & think he's a damn good coach who hasn't been given all the tools he needs to win the big one...

With that said, Richt now has now been given the full support of the school administration & AD that he needs to excel in the SEC....

I give him 4 more years max to bring home at least 2 SECCG appearances, 1 SECC/w a CFB playoff appearance...

If not I expect him to be in the mountains of Costa Rica/ Guatemala helping poor people & witnessing for the Lord...

Do you think Stallings would have been fired after that season if he refused to resign, which I guess is the Finebaum version. I know Stallings hated Bockrath and Bockrath tried to question CGS on play calling after a game in the locker room. Stallings had made it through the NCAA sanctions, so that didn't have much to do with it.

Someone explained that to you earlier and you missed the point.

Sorry, I didn't know UT has been shitty since Richt was hired. I thought it was just since about 07.

I get your points, but the truth is Richt has not really had a season that would merit being let go. I do not think he is on the hot seat at all in the next few years. If anything, he might retire if he gets tired of all the rumbling and grumbling...

Also, this might be a moot point if they do really well this year. Beating Alabama would be huge for him.

Why leave? Unless he knew it would be a dirty fight and he wasn't willing to drag the school thru it. When asked if he would take the Bama job if asked after Price was fired, he said he would.

Sounds like he was a worn out old man who didnt want to stand up for himself, which is essentially rolling over like a dying dog.

I agree with you too but there are a lotta people like me who love & support CMR (I'm a 28 year season tix holder & contributor) but realize that with the new tools/toys he's been given he must produce. Imma 60 but it's a new world & time we live in, in CFB...

Kids are gonna start getting paid above board, the TV money is astounding & the pressure to win is enormous...

Old school loyal guys like CMR with ethics, principles & ideals about helping develop teenagers into good young men who will integrate into society after their career is over & make their alumni proud about the quality of student athlete they are putting out are becoming dinosaurs...

Like it or not it's now win at all costs...

yea that's kinda what I was going for with the "do something"..

not unreasonable, but he has been consistently in the 10-15 recruiting range, so he has brought in enough talent. Watching Bobo and Grantham struggle is also on him, he's the desk where the buck stops. What tools did he need? Indoor practice? Yea not buying that, must be something else.
