I don't understand why Arkansas isn't a good program. They are the only P5 school in the state and have Sam Walton money. Does the high school talent bad in Arkansas?

A lot of Arkansas fans blamed Petrino for Bert’s struggles at first and now they are seeing how bad Bert really was. It’s going to be amajor rebuild .

Yes. On an average year we produce less than 10 D1 players. Usually only 2-3 are talented enough to play in the SEC. Maybe 4-5 on a really good year. Then we have had Auburn and Alabama plucking our top player each year with Bert. The numbers just aren't there. We have to be able to get players from Texas and we haven't been doing that for a while.
We have had success with Louisiana players that LSU didn't take. We have pulled a few good ones out of Florida and Georgia, but not enough to build a great team without getting Texas kids.
