1. I didn’t get anything because I didn’t play.
2. It was NOT an asskicking. I give Oklahoma credit that they have a good defense and kicker but that’s about it. They took advantage of Alabama errors. Take away the dumb mistakes and Bama has a multiple score lead at HT.
3. This game reminds me in a way to the 9-6 loss to LSU in 2011. That LSU team was very similar to this Oklahoma squad. Great defense-mediocre offense.
Bama had so many opps to win that game and just blew it. Fortunately, as fate would have it, Bama got a rematch in the NC game. Everybody on this site remembers what happened in that game. Maybe a rematch in the play-off?

OU is ok...maybe good...not great. unbalanced for sure
An aggressive defense that that papers over a horrible offense that cant be counted on to produce consistent drives.
We went from one end of the spectrum with FULR to the other end with BV in just a few years.
The defense actually has some vulnerabilities but luckily 80% of OCs are too stubborn to develop a gameplan to attack them the right way.

I’d be interested to hear what no-calls you think helped OU win yesterday.

Brent pulled out a can on Bama

Just sounds like a bunch of excuses to me. Would love a rematch. Suppose beating you two years in a row doesn’t send a message, so now have to boatrace you twice in one season!

I swear I thought I made Bama fans look bad but this guy....

How would you attack them? Don't worry, Kirby is amongst the 20% stupidest OCs so your secret is 100% safe.

Our quarterback ran in a 20 plus yard touchdown. What are you smoking?

The reason you were able to get the pick 6 is because another defender knocked the shite out of the intended receiver while the ball was in the air.
It should have been a penalty and a 1st down for Alabama. Instead Oklahoma got a TD.
The previous drive you also got away with a DPI. The guy never turned his head and was just hand grabbing the receiver. Should have been a 1st down.
On the missed FG, your guy put his hands on the backs of the lineman to launch over them. Should have been a 1st down for Alabama, instead it was a turnover on downs.
Doesn't change the final score, but there you go.

I'd love a rematch too. I'd actually be more confident going into a rematch than I was going into the game yesterday.
Especially if it's a rematch in a playoff game.

Not happening because Mizzou is going to get the win over Oklahoma.

If one of the PIs you are referencing is the one between Williams and Guillory, you should be glad the flag was picked up. Williams grabbed Guillory’s jersey and pulled him into him to try to create a DPI. Video is all over Twitter for you to view if you need proof.
On the FG attempt, there was nothing illegal about the play. He was lined up, stationary, within one yard of the LOS when the ball was snapped.
Since we want to discuss non-calls, Bama’s OL had more tackles than their D did.
SEC refs suck, but there wasn’t a single no-call that affected the outcome of the game, unlike what the poster I replied to was insinuating.

I'm not sure of one where a flag was picked up. I don't do X, so you'll have to link it or something. It was early in the game.

Don't think you are allowed to launch off the lineman.

Yeah, this is bullshite.

Again, you got a touchdown off a no-call DPI.

Except, he didn’t launch off the lineman. Maybe you were watching a different game?
Here’s the play with Williams: Williams OPI
This link proves your complaint about DPI on the pick six is BS you made up: Pick Six

Yes he did, his hands are clearly on the backs off both lineman. It's not a big deal, the guy shanked it. But you asked for examples.

Pretty sure he was trying to get to the ball. The defender had his head turned more than I remembered, but still hand fighting. Again, not a big deal but you asked for examples.

That's a terrible view of the play.

Better view of the play. Slow it down. RSJ is making a play on the ball when he and the receiver collide. Pretty sure it’s a good no-call, but I’m not a rules expert. LINK
In what way?
Here is the ball before it's even to the receiver. Your guy is clearly hitting the intended receiver well before the ball gets there. And it's clearly a catchable ball because the person who caught the ball is right behind him.
If you want, I can show another shot even earlier where your guy is making contact, at least 1 yard prior. I went another frame because the ball was exactly on the 20 and hard to see.
If not for the DPI, the ball is at a minimum tipped by the receiver.
Personally, I think Oklahoma did this on purpose. You almost got another interception the same way shortly after but the DPI was actually called on it. Same thing though, one defender takes out the receiver and the other catches it.

Without the turnovers and special teams errors Alabama blows their doors off.
Jesus. Turnovers is are far and away the most important statistic in determining who wins/loses. So important, its a major talking point when a team wins without winning the turnover battle.
As for Special Teams being a minor part of the game, Bobby Bowden has two more titles if it weren't for wide right.
