Controversy is the best way to get that, which is why they constantly are stirring the pot, to get you to tune in.
bingo.
more crazy shite they spew: more ratings.
more ratings: more money.
it's not that hard to figure out.

I like the one guy whose name escapes me, that said 16 team playoff like IAA That is what I would want - to hell with the bowls.
The bowl system is about greed - not just gaming - human nature tends to lean towards greed - so what do any of you expect to be different.

Not according to the rules we play by Martavius.
The two teams that deserved to play for the NC played according to the rules.
You'll have to go back and show me where I disagreed with this.
Also, you do realize what the tie breaker was that put OU in B12CG over UT, a team with the same record and the victory head to head, right? Yeah, I think Texas has a reason to be a little upset. Not with the BCS as much as their own conference.

I can gladly say that I don't watch ESPN unless there is a game on. And even so, I mute my tv and listen to music.
I have not watched Sportcenter since January 7, 2004, and have not watched Gameday since the day of the LSU @ Bama game in 2003.
Yes, I'm in the minority. I read the shite they say on here and respond angrily to it.
Biased media, in general, pisses me off. That's why I comment on it, and start threads about it, like I did this morning.

I have a feeling their tune will start changing now that they've got a 15 year 2 billion dollar contract with the SEC. They will be so pro-SEC it will sicken the rest of the country and make them all hate us more than they already do. It should be wonderfully entertaining.

I don't like it either EZE, and I get ticked off at it at times as well. I just wanted to bring some perspective to those who hang on every word that comes from ESPN and reasons why they are constantly playing the part of agitate and rarely if ever seem to be on anyone's side but their own or their darlings. I can see both sides of the coin regarding watching ESPN or chosing to mute them as you say.

When I watched the LSU game at my brother's place in Shreveport, I said to everyone, "in case I miss it, tell me when ESPN talks about any other bowl besides the Rose Bowl on ABC!" After the game nobody could remember ESPN talking heads saying anything about any of the BCS games at all.
