How does a program like LSU end up with “O” while the Aggies land Jimbo?

You would think with how much better and traditional LSU is all time compared to A&M that they would be able to get someone better.

LSU fans are super glad they didn't get Jimbo because it's a super stupid contract, but they have plans to hire away the AD at A&M who spearheaded said stupid contract.

Bobby Jindal merged the two positions of President of the LSU System (LSU, LSU-BR, LSU-A, LSU-E, UNO, LSU-Shreveport, LSUHSC-Shreveport, LSU Law, LSU-Med School) with the Chancellor of the LSU-BR Campus.
He then went out and hired a guy whose running a glorified ponzi scheme to fill that position in F. King Alexander. He then did away with several big LSU AD allies on the BOS. JBE came in and realized he had a pawn in the game to squeeze tax revenues out of the Legislature in FKA and thereatened everything from cancelling Football Season in 2016 to having FKA send paperwork to professors and release press statements that he had prepared Financial Exigency (Academic Bankruptcy) paperwork to scare legislators even more.
In the process he made us look like absolute buffoons.
