UGA and AU should be above Tennessee in past 10 years rankings. You don't deserve the time of day if you can't win one SEC title in ten years.

Top tier shmop pier. All your little rankings don't mean shite unless you live you life watching replays of past seasons.
I'm living in the now, and right now, Arkansas is the second best team in the SEC, and is poised to be a top SEC team for years to come. LSU, Florida... eh... not so much.

Arkansas is gonna need more seasons like the one they just had to be a top-tier SEC program. Plain and simple.
This.
But this train is rolling fellas. Those of you discounting our WR and Knile will fine themselves in a bad spot next season. They will out produce this season.

So did we. Twice.
Thanks for validating us.

Appearances are great for schools like S. Carolina, but the past 10 years of Tennessee football has been pathetic. No SEC titles and three appearances in ten years is pretty bad.

Have to have a defense to accompany that high powered offense. OSU just showed you that. You give up 28 pts to an average offense in the 1st half, and you're not going to win many big time ball games.

Just curious, but if you're living in the here and now, AU and AR are the elite teams in the SEC right now by your criteria. Correct?
If so, that's laughable.

I also conceded your point long ago. I merely meant since expansion. My bad, but you do agree anyone can emerge in the SEC at anytime? Almost all the teams have great tradition and history. I really hope that Arkansas-LSU becomes the Tenn-Fla. of the 21st century. I also rooted for LSU in the Charley Mac, Bert Jones, Andy Hamilton, Tommy Cassanova and my favorite Jimmy LeDeux era. Always rooted for them against Bama. You make a spirited argument. All in good fun.

So after all this name calling and arguing, no Arkansas fan will disagree with me.
Awesome. Don't get your butts so chapped fellas. You could have saved a few pages of this had you just agreed and moved on.

Actually, great point. AU and UA own the 10's thus far. In 2020, we'll look back and see how it all panned out.
I mean, that's what is happening in this thread about the aughts, correct?

If you're looking for a trend, as far as going forward, IMO you put some stock into history, but more stock into recent history.

No doubt that the success of this season could be an indication of the things to come for this program, but as of right now they are not among the SEC's elite. They're gonna need to do it again. For me the biggest question regarding the Hogs is, Can they keep Bobby Petrino? If he sticks around it isn't crazy to think that they could win some SEC championships.
