Very similar styles. I think UGA has more talent across the board...but UM is riding high and playing with a ton of confidence and chemistry.

I'd take UM getting the 7.5 points.

Probably a boring, defense and field position type game. If Michigan had the passing game to exploit Georgia's weakness in the secondary and the fact that Smart isn't a big game coach, I might pick them. But they don't, and Georgia's way more talented so they'll win.

Absent turnovers and special teams scoring, I don't see Michigan staying within 10 here. I'm more confident that Michigan struggles with UGA's defense more then I think Georgia won't grind them down with murder-ball power running g

I'm really looking forward to this game. I hope that Bama takes care of business so that we can sit back and just enjoy this one.

I think that the two teams are mirror images of each other, with Georgia having the advantage of a bit more overall team speed. I think that will be the deciding factor as they should be able to contain the Michigan run game. Should be a great one to watch!

Ask Baker Mayfield if Kirby has ever won a big game.

Just getting there is pretty irrelevant, hell Mark Helfrich coached in a National Championship game, it's winning it that matters. If Smart wins it all this year, he'll be considered a big game coach. But he isn't one until he does.

So, the national championship game is the only "big" one. The semi-final, that you must win to reach the championship game, isn't a big game in your eyes???

Michigan has the better head coach.

I just want to get this straight in my mind.

You think the coach that has never won his own division (before this year) while coaching in the PAC 12 and B1G is better than the coach that has won the SEC once and coached his team to the playoffs twice is better?

Correct. Like I said, Mark Helfrich did that, and you probably wouldn't categorize him as a "big game" coach considering he's unemployed.

So you think Gene Chizik, Ed Orgeron and Bobby Ross are proven and excellent head coaches?

You consider them big game coaches?
Maybe Florida should hire one of those since they are big game coaches.

This year's version of Harbaugh might be equal to Kirby. If you look at the entire body of work, Kirby is waay more consistent and therefore, the better coach.

Big game coach? In your world. Again. He was available. Florida should have hired him if he was so good.

I mean, Florida fans were telling us Mullen was better than Kirby. Mullen was a better game day coach and was a QB whisperer, and was going to run Kirby out of his job once he got "his" players.

Maybe your opinion isn't quite what you think it is? or your reasoning on matters is flawed? Maybe?

Gene Chizik. Ed Orgeron. Bobby Ross. "Big game coaches!"

Nonsense. Total nonsense.
I would agree Kirby has lost more "big" games than he's won them. That's mostly because he's got Saban in the way. But to say he's never won big games is absurd. He won the SEC Championship game, beating an Auburn team that had just won over Saban. He beat Oklahoma in the Rose Bowl to reach the national championship game.
Kirby has won big games.
By the way, Helfrich didn't lose his job for not winning the "big" one. He lost his job for going 4-8 two years later.

Kirby Smart is 11-7 vs Top 10 teams, and 4 of those loses are to Alabama. I’d say he does a lot better than most in big games. You’re not Smart.
