What a dumb arse thread. LSU fans building up Randle like he's some Andre Johnson like uncoverable force, basically flaming bama fans into talking him down like he's average and they'll shut him down.
Truth is, he's really good and one of the best receivers in the league. He's not a super freak/top 10 pick, but he's an NFL player and a great athlete. and we're coming off games against UF,UT and AU who all have shitty dbs outside a couple guys. Bama does have the guys to match up with him. He may burn them for some big plays, he may not.
But seriously, this shite about how can he be covered?? he's not THAT good. there isn't a receiver in college i would say that about, maybe blackmon. Bracket him with 3 guys? Saban's whole philosophy is recruiting great corners that can match up on the outside, that's one of the biggest components of his defense and allows him the freedom to get creative. he won't roll 2 extra guys toward RR.

Vs. shite competition. This is why bama fans are idiots.

This is one of the matchups where I think LSU has the advantage. I recall Flordia going over the top on Dre and a Vandy guy beating him deep as well. Good thing for Bama the Vandy QB over threw him.
Bama will have to get pressure on Lee and have saftey help. Also can't get sold on Jefferson running while he's in then have him pull up and throw it deep.
shite this is going to be a hell of a game....

I recall UF doing the same thing to Claiborne.

Forgot about that!
A 65-yarder to Andre Debose, who Claiborne let run free after shoving him out of bounds and apparently thinking he was out of the play. Brissett’s next deep pass resulted in a Honey Badger interception.
Note: above details taken from Rivals.com

On November 5, he's gonna get jammed more times than a goat on a sultry summer night in Auburn.
he has burnt DB's jamming him at the line many times this year. Jamming him just gives him the outside and puts the DB playing catch up most times. I have never seen a WR beat a jam so effectively before.
You must have a great DB and have him play straight up with help over the top. Only way he doesn't get deep. Then you gotta worry about him pulling up on a hitch and making a move,... hard to say... lol.

Randle is to the WR position what Corey Lemonier is to the DE position.

That is a perfect comparison.

he'll end up with better stats than Julio or AJ ever had while in college.
Julio? Seriously? Not a chance.
Better stats. Yes. Julio finished last year with 78 grabs for 1133 yards, 15 YPC and 7 TD. Randle already has 7 TD's and he's on pace to finish with over 1200 yards and he'll probably get more TD's as the season goes on. He also has a higher YPC average

okay, and Julio had nearly 1000 yards his Freshman year, and about 4 TDs. What were Randle's rookie stats like? Julio also had about 800 yards and 6 or 7 TDs his sophomore year as well. What were Randle's sophomore numbers like? Do some research before posting, dude.

Bottom line throwing up prayers to RR is not the formula for lsu to beat Alabama. Undoubtedlty Miles will take a few shots early off of play action, but Dre will be prepared. Thankfully he has grown from those mistakes.

Perfect strikes to a wr streaking down the sideline is hardly throwing up prayers.

I meant that Rueben this year will have a better overall season than either had, stat wise. Not for his whole time here. But he's probably staying for next year and if he does that than he will break their stats. Rueben would have done really good the last two years if Crowton wouldn't have been the OC and if our passing game would have been at least average.
