The phrase flagship university is often used with reference to indentify a state university systems' largest and/or oldest college.

I do not post a whole lot on the SEC Rant, because I see a lot of obnoxious and idiot fans from other fan bases. I casually browse this particular board and I see this term tossed around a lot in relation to Arkansas.
