Well I guess that's one attitude to take but all the Bama fans on here fapping after going 12-2 in 2008 sure didn't consider that season a failure.

We all know that alabama fans, like no other fan base on earth, define who they are as a person based on how their school's football team is doing.
And we know this how?
Link?
Stats?
Objective data?
Thanks.

Since when has the NCAA been in the national championship business when it comes to college football
You're right, I guess I should take your word over the NCAA, even though it's NCAA football.

What are you wowing at? Are you claiming that every single year in alabama's history that you didn't win the national title it was a failure of a season?
This is what separates Alabama from the rest of the SEC right here, ladies and gentlemen.

How many national championships in the top level of college football have been sanctioned by the NCAA? NONE. So why do I care what's on their website?

I think it's obvious that football is all you care about Louisiana, it completely defines who you are, and without it in your world your life would be empty because you have nothing else to be proud of.
Am I doing it right?
Am I doing it right?

We coped the same way LSU fans or Auburn fans did when both teams sucked for about 50 years or so between their N/C's

#1 I don't live in Louisiana
#2 We have pro sports and culture outside of football in Louisiana. Neither of which alabama has, so your premise is flawed.

They were well conditioned for the pre saban years. Given that the NC is all that matters (conference titles, post season and such aren't even goals anymore) they have spend 94% of their history in failure.
