I doubt that it would be as bad a me yelling the N-word in a bar in Hollygrove, but still... Can anyone tell me why it is okay to punch someone if they something offensive? It is a word. So they don't like you. They are an idiot and dont like your race/sexual preference/whatever... You get to punch them?

Yeah, not sure he has a great lawyer. They have already admitted he sucker-punched the guy and the defense is that he has a prior conviction he is sensitive about. Surely LSU could have got this kid a better attorney, she is burying him before the trial even starts.

I get what you are saying but there is the way things should be, and then there is reality. I should be able to go to Scotlandville (or any fill-in-the-blank 'urban' area) at 1 in the morning, in a thousand dollar suit, and ask the locals if anyone has change for a hundred dollar bill....but this isn't the wisest policy.

At first he didn't admit it but then police showed him the video.

I would have still denied it. That's not me, just some dude that looks like me (I'd make a BR jury convict and hope for some LSU fans).

Yawl don't still hang people in front of the courthouse without a proper trial?

Dude... its simple fricking battery. its a misdemeanor. a speeding ticket. there's not going to be a trial for punching a kid
Posted on 5/5/13 at 12:49 am to Garfield
It's a misdemeanor. I doubt there will be a trial unless, due to probation, Hill needs a not guilty verdict. If probation doesn't come into play I'd imagine a plea....all speculation on my part BTW>

The D.A. would be ticked if they forced this.

I've gotten a speeding ticket, and I've gotten arrested for punching someone, but I have never been a member of the communist party.
Looks like he could get six months just for the battery (not including the probation revocation):

You're failing to understand something very basic. shite like this RARELY goes to trial. Either charges will be dropped or he'll plead out/take some type of deal.
You don't seem very bright
eta: and the only way he'd do any jail time over it is bc of the probation. and I doubt that happens either.

Because this bullshite gets said about whoever gets into a fight with a LSU player and people try to justify what was really just a stupid act of violence

Technically but that's not happening. Jail cells here, as pretty much everywhere, are filled. Now the second guy, if convicted of a felony, will see some time.

Yeah, well appearances can be . . . frick, what's the word I'm looking for?

I think it was 480 looking for another victim.

Same situation where I am from. Basically go out of their way to keep you out of jail. I doubt he goes to jail, but under these unique circumstances it would not shock me if he got something more than added probation/community service (e.g., house arrest). Unique circumstances: (1) on probation; (2) caught on video; (3) violent crime; and (4) high profile person.

Some people have to learn the hard way.

That's strange that a guy, presumably an LSU fan, would just up and be like "yer a fuggin' rapist, man!" to a star LSU running back. Seems like Hill instigated it, or shite, maybe it was some meathead, Lafayette type that just wanted to start shite with a football player, who really knows
He was a drunk shithead frat guy, nothing would surprise me. Of course there is still much more to the story
