Thank God aggy finally showed up in this thread… my day is now complete!

Regarding NFLSU, he is kind of a mystery to me… LSU posters don’t normally harbor such aggressive dislike for us… NFLSU though displays aggy level anti- “tu” little brother energy…
But no aggy I have ever known would put aggies and “horn” in the same equivalent fan bin… even in jest…
So just who is this poser, exactly??

There are plenty of LSU posters that dislike Texas. Not sure where that comment comes from

Sure, all of our opponents dislike us…
But aggy level “horn” envy is at a whole different level… their whole football game persona includes singing against the Longhorns in their 100 year old aggy fight song, swaying together in some insane line dance crooning about sawing our brave Bevo’s horns off, and throwing the horns down for the TV cameras even when we are no where around…
Has LSU added Longhorn hate to their school fight song yet??

You both have one thing in common - your Texas sized arrogance. "Everything is bigger and better in Texas." Those clowns came storming through the front door when they joined bragging about how they were going to take over the conference and could buy the rest of us ten times over (sound familiar?). It only got worse when they hired Jimbo. Here we are 13 years later and they haven't won shite. They wouldn't catch a tenth of the hell they get on this board if they had just stayed in their lane. Most of them have toned it down now that they've been put in their place, but they were annoying as hell early on.

They like the big money that UT can pay as well.

“sawing our brave Bevo’s horns off”
This made me laugh too hard.
This made me laugh too hard.

Man, you may not want to tap my beer mug, but we are in 100%, total agreement on this…

That’s a logical observation that I’ll agree with…

I’m going to laugh and agree with this… if you meet a guy from Texas for the first time, exactly how many seconds go by before he tells you he is from Texas…?
I don’t know if you have ever toured the Texas Capitol building, but when it was built back in the day, its total height, including the statue on top, was purposefully designed to be taller than the U.S Capitol building in Washington, DC…
But from LSU’s perspective, aren’t Alabama, Georgia, or Tennessee fans sometimes a bit arrogant too… ?

I think problems with alcohol are pretty widespread. His problems might have been a little worse.
As someone who struggled with it for 10 years, I can attest to the fact that the problem sneaks up on you, is tough to recognize when you’ve got it, and isn’t easy to fix.
I have quite a lot of respect for Saban for recognizing Sark wanted to address his problem, and he gave him a chance and reason to do it. Outside of Texas coaches, there’s no one I like more than Saban, for that reason.

My best friend at LSU was from Texas. Several of my fraternity brothers were from Texas, and they all shared the same mindset. I wanted to knock the piss out of them sometimes.

Arrogant about their sports teams? Yes, but not necessarily their state as a whole. Texans believe that everything about their state is superior to everywhere else.

Yes the alcohol issue is very widespread, and I have definitely had both friends and family members who have struggled with it. Good for you for getting through, and both you and Sark also have my respect.
Sark talks about the respect that he has for Saban, and how thankful he is that Saban gave him another chance. And Sark has worked very hard to make good use of that second chance.
The best measure of a person in my view is how they treat others, and Saban also has my respect…

Haha rings true… my wife, not from Texas, quickly noticed when visiting Texas with me how many homes were decorated with Texas flags, Lone Stars, and other Texas symbols, inside and out… she told me that “all of you sure do love that flag”, haha…
And I have a big Texas flag hanging up on one wall of my basement up here in NC, that once flew over the Texas Capitol on Flag Day… I’ve got the official certificate to prove it!

We have a winner.
Sark has the best job in the country right now. If he happens to know a little about coaching, then that’s a bonus.

I’m not a tremendous Sark fan, I don’t mind saying it.
He’s a 7-win coach who stepped into the gift horse rodeo. His wife is underclass who preens for the camera anytime she can get in it. We aren’t done with her underclass hijinx I can assure you, she’ll pull some more tangin around bs someday.
And I trust CDC, so I don’t get it. Sometimes I think this was all just a setup to get Patterson in - but the Texas/NIL combo could make any coach a genius, so that plan may have been a bust.
