Yea, Tua is gonna be a college all timer. Knew this since the title game last season. Not sure what anyone could have done to stop him. And he certainly doesn’t just stare down his WRs. What a dumbass post.

The fan stood back behind the LSU bench vocalizing the frustration of a 29-0 LSU loss, of a domination by a football juggernaut, and let the LSU offensive line know what he thought. “You’re an embarrassment,” he yelled, among other vulgarities.

Just like on the INT when he was locked in on his WR because he was up against a FR DB even though LSU had a single high safety waiting?
The kid is a hell of a player, but he still makes mistakes and he was staring down WR’s in drop backs.
The very play you just brought up, the receiver he threw to was at the very worst, his 2nd progression. He didn’t lock onto him until he felt pressure.

It was a risky throw, but I wouldn't call it a terrible one. Both DBs were actually behind the receiver on that play. Had the throw been a few inches the other way, it would have been a great catch inside the five yard line.
And it worked out for us in the end because it directly led to our TD on the following drive.

Tua had a good right but not,a great game. Guy is a player but your defense was lights out last night
Just be happy his leg is injured. The lead leg affects precision in throwing mechanics.
It is difficult to hit his normal range of throws with high accuracy when his knee flexion is not 100%... probably less than 70% based on how hard his untouched QB TD scramble affected him the second the adrenaline wore off. With the pain in his lead leg and a brace affecting his ability to keep the legs slightly bent and step into the throw to get the proper body rotation and follow through upon release of the ball, it created an issue.
We saw the same thing in the UT game to a degree. He was a bit off with his throws. It carried over to the LSU game.
That said, the LSU secondary played the WRs tremendously well. The occasional hands full of jerseys garabbed aside, they created a lot of tight windows that required perfect throws.
Between his knee and throwing around a great secondary, I'm not surprised to see the dip in performance. A healthy Tua performs much better... bottom line.

Tua looked fat to me.
Is that because he hasn’t been able to work out with the knee injury?

I don’t understand why our fans are making this more complex than it is. We lost the game at the line of scrimmage. Everywhere else, we matched up, but Bama controlled the LOS. Plain and simple. Just classic football.
