Coach Veltkamp is a HUGE part of our program, that dude and his staff and nutrition specialists know their stuff. I hope we lock them up for a long time

We have an actual SEC level staff from top to bottom that is slowly turning our program into a legit SEC program. We just need to bring home that hardware.

U guys typically put together a good O Line. Wouldn't worry too much about it. Still hope we beat your arse but it will be a nail biter! Depending on injuries....

Our OL will be OK and I agree.

A while back, I watched the replay of last year's game and I guess I had forgotten about the first quarter mistakes on both sides. I don't think we'll see that again this time.

Bo was talking on the radio today about a quip he got from Petrino who said, he thought the oline would be better this year than last because the techniques Klenakis has engrained in the guys is now taking hold and you can see how it started to take effect towards the end of last year.

I think we ll be fine. and we got three warmup games till traveling to tusca

They'll be great for the line, and maybe our defense can get that shutout we've been chasing for several years now. I'm excited for this season. I'm gonna be in T-Town to see if we are for real or not.

We're gonna be for real. The long wait before Bobby just had a profoundly negative effect on my preseason thought processes.

Any of you guys have a rivals account? I'm curious what the big camp news that is "now confirmed" and stickied on the top of the board is concerning.

I do not. Be sure to report back your findings if you hear what it is.

No clue what rivals is reporting, but I heard rumblings earlier in the week that we may be losing a player. Big kid who came in as a RB.

How effective of a runner is Davis when a DE is hitting him in the backfield? I know cook is highly rated but u can't seriously be comfortable with a freshmen tackle starting.

also, i thought mallett moved pretty well in the pocket as far as buying time to throw. Did he take a lot sacks last year?

They say Cook is the best freshman lineman we have had on campus. If so, that is very strong words considering Shawn Andrews mauled people as a freshman here.

Arkansas placed 3 OL on the pre-season All SEC teams yesterday. We have some options at the tackle spot.

Mallett had no escapability. He sometimes could move well in the pocket, but he did not move well outside of the pocket at all. Something Wilson will be much better at.

Cook is not as he good as he will be in year two, three, and maybe four (if he hasn't gone to the NFL by then). However, I’m not so sure that he isn’t already better as a true freshman than we had there last year.

Although I'm sure he would rather not, Petrino is not opposed to starting freshman on the OL. Hogs started two RS freshman last year on the OL in Center Travis Swanson and Guard Alvin Baily and both beat out more experienced players who had started many SEC games.
