...I like the design of those light fixtures. Makes a virtue out of a necessity.

The lights are going to be solar powered, the covers are solar panels, and the new lighting will be a welcome addition to Faurot as games were previously played with only half the field getting light

Awesome! Is Faurot Field going to be LEEDS certified?

Don't know about any of that.

In the United States and in a number of other countries around the world, LEED certification is the recognized standard for measuring building sustainability. Achieving LEED certification is the best way for you to demonstrate that your building project is truly "green."

Sounds like liberal mumbo jumbo.

Ok then, think dollars and sense. LEEDS-certified buildings are cheaper to run.

You seem very interested in expansion of facilities so maybe you can explain this. This was the purposed design for Taylor Stadium, and this was what we ended up with
This was a $4 million dollar renovation, and I'm not seeing $4million dollars

Too bad, because that is legit. I'm guessing you had to juggle finances, and that project lost out.
You guys will be good for the SEC, and vice versa. Our love of baseball will infect you, and I'm hoping Mizzou will help get Hockey and wrestling acknowledged as full-on SEC sports.

Doesn't look that bad. What were you expecting?

Certainly cut corners on that renovation, I don't know how anyone can expect Mizzou to get behind their baseball team when no coverage on T.V., and worst of all the athletic department cutting corners on expansion projects. Honestly it looked better before the renovation, and if they were going to cut corners they should have just waited until they had the finances to do it right. Adding that seating along the right side made it look worse. The field looked better like this

This with the brick wall and M I Z Z O U in gold platted lettering, and the SEC logo on the side of the club house WTF at least put that on,. Also the fricking party porch on top of the wall is missing

You should get more coverage with the SEC Network.

At this point I would be happy if they nuked the field, and started over. Here is aerial view before renovation of how bad they fricked things up

I just asked on the Mizzou board, but it looks like they added seating capacity in lieu of the cool brick/Mizzou lettering thing in the plan.
Did they add seats instead of whatever the brick thing was supposed to be?

WELL it looks like you are shoe-horning a field into that space. That's never a good idea. Ask UF or UGA about that, and I'm not limiting the discussion to baseball here.
There's a reason you never see either UGA or UF fans in facility smack threads. And that's it. They don't have the room to expand their facilities, for the most part.

Certainly appears they did, and it pisses me off because that design actually would have completely changed the perception of the stadium (minus the dead grass in March). I'm more pissed the party porch on top of the brick wall now won't be a part of the stadium. Our stadium is definitely shite considering you can't even sit in the outfield.

All of the sports parks are grouped in one area on Mizzou's campus excluding golf. Track and Field is directly behind the baseball field, the practice football field is in the outfield which prevents any outfield expansion, the indoor practice facility is also in the outfield, across the street is Faurot, Mizzou Arena, and Hearnes.
