He was a mediocre football coach that had some awful offenses and very undisciplined teams. Every year you can count the number of arrests that was competitive in trying to win the infamous Fulmer cup. Nutt had some bad apples on his teams.

Nutt had some talented teams but he did less with more.

Nutt took the job at Ole Miss and inherited a team from Coach O that was good enough to win the SEC. He did absolutely squat with those teams and it irritated Ole Miss fans and yet Arkansas fans told them he would do absolutely nothing in Oxford.

The coach that I wanted and would have done better was Butch Davis.

I appreciate that Texas fans are proud of the schools overall athletic accomplishments, they should be.

But football pays for everything….

Don't think you'll find many of us that don't understand that, or would defend the football program's performance.

But we gotta hang our hat on something.

He was plenty of fun if you like drama and baggage from a bunch of 7 win seasons. Not worth the trouble.

7 win seasons is about Arkansas' historical average.

That could be said for most college football programs. But it is the seasons when you have above average talent and don't do anything with it that can get a coach in trouble or an extended stay.

What ultimately got Nutt fired was going 18-16 with arguably the best running back trio in SEC history.
