There is very little doubt that Hootie has recruited better at OM than he did in Fayetteville.

On the otherhand, Petrino has done a better job of recruiting to Fayettenam than Hootie did.

Agreed. Would you agree with this chain reaction: The hiring of a distinct passing corch ----> Texarkana QB Mallet leaves Mich due to system changes and decides to head home to play for said corch-----Passing corch + big QB prospect (who wears jorts) = extremely good crop of offensive skill players. Your thoughts?

Sorry, had to throw the jort comment in there.

How many threads do OM fans start questioning Petrionos coaching abilitites? And we haven't even lost to him yet. You're a blatient liar if you don't think arky's fan base isn't obsessed with Nutt. If they weren't this thread wouldn't have
occured and would also be over.

Now as far as this 3rd year meassuring stick goes, I think shows how well Nutt has done here at OM. Yes it will be a down year, but would arky not have one if they lost Mallett, his go to guy, and top RB? The way I see it is everyone Nutt recruited is a junior or less. And there might be 3 positions on both sides of the ball that a junior or less doesn't start at. O left us with no senior talent or leadership for this coming season and that's why it should be a down year.

I haven't heard this one. That's some dangerous turf for a crop duster.

What do the Ole Miss fans think? Can you surprise some teams? How does your schedule shake out?

We have an easy schedule. (catch the three worst teams in the east, play four OOC gimmes)
Should have an improved defense.

I think that 8 or 9 regular season wins is a possibility. 6 or 7 is more likely.

No way, he turned into a beast by the end of the year.

ETA: to provide some statistical backing on this, Ole Miss gave up 8 sacks through the first 4 games and just 9 in the last 9.

if the Hogs beat Nutt this year they'll make Bama fans after the NC look humble.

It will have only taken them three years to get revenge.

Where did you get that? I'll go ahead and say that's false.

My girlfriend works at a shop on the square and one of Nutt's daughters told her that while in the store. I will have to ask which daughter it was but she comes in there and shops fairly often and has since struck up an acquaintance with my ole lady.

Don't know why someone would make something like that up and quite frankly how could you make that up? Take it for what you will but I am taking it to the bank as a fact.

I'm not buying this either. I think he has that confused with the planes flying banners saying Fire Nutt. I can see how Hootie would consider that trash.

I could buy someone dumping trash on his drive but a crop duster dropping it?

Nah, def dropped from a plane. Garbage was on top of their house and it was about a dumpster's worth she said. They didn't talk long about it as my gf felt kind of awkward since that is such a horrible occurance, so the subject was changed kind of quickly she said.

But yea - dumpster's worth of trash on one of their own. Imagine if Nutt was from Texas? Crazy bastards might have dropped napalm.

Not fact but hearsay by a biased party. People may make up or believe untruths when it comes to someone they love.

I do not like Hootie, not b/c of his coaching or even the Springdale group but b/c of my own interactions with or around him. Now others on his coaching staff are fine by me.

And THAT ladies and gents is why Ark fans are delusional crazies.

So something that Nutt's daughter says is "hearsay"? Right because she would have no idea if fricking TRASH was dumped on her home. Great point man.

You mean a biased party that lives on said property?

That's like saying you can't call the police over your house being vandalized because you're biased from living there.

or "officer, someone threw a brick through my car window." "Ma'am, is this your car?" "Yes." "Well, I can't take your word on this because it's your car and you're biased. I'll need to go ask someone else."

C'mon. Why would she make that up?

Dropping trash on the house? Who thinks of that?
