6A-5A...

Pine Bluff and Benton are coming back into notice with some very talented players, and a reemergence of Little Rock Parkview (with a journeyman coach who might have broke a rule or two other places, from a popular coaching family, probably a good guy, I've never met him)

Pulaski Academy is coached by former Razorback Anthony Lucas now that the little attention whore Kevin Kelley has been gone, and Lucas is doing a great job.


ETA: also a reemergence of Little Rock Catholic since they moved down a division.

There's a trend of former powerhouses, mostly inner city types, who imploded for years...when they gather their wares and move down a division since people are leaving the school, the programs collect themselves and talented kids have started playing again. Sort of a trend. Parkview. Pine Bluff. LR Mills. And then Catholic on the private school side. Catholic was getting beat to death in 7A, with 6A type numbers, so when they moved to 6A where they belonged, the fire is back.




The collective lump in the throat is the consistent imploding of West Memphis, LR Central and Texarkana (on the Arkansas side)

Very sad. I think at this point, Marion would beat West Memphis 50-0
