Very True.
I was talking about the number of sidewalk LSU fan in my hometown of Brookhaven and me and TDs could only name about 2 people we have ever known who actually attended LSU. Yet a lot of jacked up Z71 has LSU stickers on it an tons of people we know who went JUCO or never went to college are in love with LSU and most couldn't name 3 players nor have they ever been to tiger stadium.

The funny thing about the rivalry is that we start out slinging mud (I enjoy watching Rebelbear fans suffer), but the conversation eventually leads to that if both schools were joined as one, how many National Titles would we have won by now? Senator Bilbo tried to join all the schools in Jackson in the 1920's. We'd have a 110,000 stadium packed every Saturday if that had happened.

Hell, back in the 1870's Ole Miss tried to start an agriculture program, buying up a bunch of land south of the main campus (everything stretching from VHS allllll the way to the intramural fields, which end way out on Jackson Avenue a few miles from the Grove, Circle, etc.) and hiring professors for such a program. They did this in hopes to receive the land grant money to expand Ole Miss as opposed to building a whole new university. Louisiana and Georgia had done the same things to expand LSU and UGA, respectively. The move failed, and instead of expanding Ole Miss, Mississippi State was founded.
So, really, had y'all just gone along with our plan to begin with...
