The Rebels will play with a chip on their shoulders this 1st play-off game because of whats happened to make a statement. Perhaps it will be enough to get them out of the 1st round. It is a home game for you guys, I think.

I've switched jobs multiple times throughout my career and there have been three occasions where I was due a big bonus the following month but would've lost it if no longer employed on the day payroll was processed. I negotiated my new employer to paying me that bonus all three times. It's a very common practice if the new employer wants the hire.
