In what world does A&M have such hate for OU? Most of us don't care, tbh. I know I don't. We hate the Texas schools more than anything. When we played OU it was just another hard fought game.

they would just add nothing to the conference.

we'll have to agree, to disagree. i think when espn or cbs aired ou/bam or ou/LSU, in prime time, ect the country would be watching.

And that doesn't matter when we are talking about setting up a conference footprint with legit television markets for the SEC network

True

But the satisfaction from winning that way over them was because they were a big12 champ that year, that's it. Would have been just as satisfying if we'd whipped K-State.

maybe people are butt hurt about a&m leaving, but there is plenty of hate, for a&m here. come to think of it, people have been talking shite about a&m, since 2000, and for some reason, it got worse, when franchonie (sp) became the coach. i assumed it went both ways.

And that is larger than 100% of Tulsa

It is unreciprocated, I assure you. Also, you're overstating the vitriol OU fans have for A&M. I lived there during realignment. If you start talking to them about how great the SEC is, you'll get plenty of blowback, but between TAMU and OU specifically, there's just not a lot of hate one way or the other.

Well shite you should have told me you were talking about the metropolitan area. Because 2% of the NY metro is more like 460k than 400. So only 2% of the NY metro is equal to about 45% of the Tulsa metro. That is why size fricking matters when it comes to markets

How about we meet half way. You OU here, they want you there. What do you say to a straight up trade? (to get this thread slightly turned back toward home base)

it's hard for me to buy the whole "small market" argument, but i'll be honest, i'm basing that off of how well the thunder have done.

why? The thunder have been praised for how well they've done because they are in one of the smallest NBA markets
