I'll give you millions of little green reasons OU will never be allowed into the SEC.
If OU wanted in the SEC, they would be allowed, period. They bring a lot to the table, and be would a great addition. It takes a lot for me to say that, because I live around OU fans, and they are fricking annoying, but it's the truth.

A&M wouldn't allow it. Sorry.

you can laugh all you want, but I promise you, if OU wanted in the SEC, they would be allowed. i'm not saying they would come, I've heard plenty of excuses as to why they wouldn't want to, but if they went to the SEC office, and said they wanted in, they would be here next year.

I'm making a statement and not arguing
It was just that they were referenced. There is no difference between them and TCU and SMU.

This is how it plays out. After playing someone besides UK, Vandy and Tenn. Bama complains to the REC about their schedule. Okie St. Joins SEC and REC takes ten years to make a schedule. BAMAs cycle of UK, Vandy and Tenn returns an all is right in the world.

If LSU and Arkansas left, 80+ of the SEC's 200 national championships would be gone
That's okay Bama would just claim them all back

LSU would complain about having to play Texas and Oklahoma every year

Did OU just score yet again?
The gumps have lost 3 strait to OU, with their last win coming over 50 years ago.
LSU fans getting some mileage out of other programs success against Alabama.

I know you guy's think its funny, and probably don't want to hear it, but it's true. I can't stand OU, but the fact is, they would bring a lot to the table, if they came to the SEC. It's all about TV ratings, and games like OU vs LSU, OU vs Bama, OU vs Auburn, ect, would bring huge ratings, from a football standpoint. There isn't a more qualified school out there, than OU. They have SEC caliber facilities, and great tradition. They won't leave OSU, so it's probably a moot point, but if/when the SEC does expand, there is no way, they would pass on OU.

so why do you think the SEC would pass on OU, IF they wanted to join?
Posted on 8/23/14 at 10:37 pm to Brendoni
Oklahoma is a smaller market than you realize, their pedigree aside.
They are tethered to oSu.
A&M/Mizzou would fight it tooth and nail if that came to pass.

Because they profess to hate Texas, but try to act just like them (without any history to back it up). So they puff their chest out and suggest they would be able to block a move that brought an old Big XII rival to the SEC.
