The trashing Kirby thread when you've been the king of football for a decade seems rather petty though. That's the kind of stuff I don't get.

Nope, that's a reading comprehension problem on your part.

1. I said "you don't get it"... which was a simple restatement of what YOU said. That's not an assumption on my part.

2. I qualified a time back to Georgia's last championship to the last time Georgia fans could really do some bragging about championships. That's not an assumption either.

3. I think YOU made an assumption that my response had anything to do with Kirby Smart. It doesn't. I think he's a pretty good coach with a bright and solid future at Georgia. I've never trashed him. In fact, he was never mentioned in this thread until you brought him up.

4. I don't need to talk about the Georgia drought. It's fairly self evident. But hey, win a national championship or two and you get to brag a little. That's the way it works around here.

Not reading comprehension.

1. I don't get why you guys are trashing Kirby. I get this post. I didn't get the other one.

2. You talked about the 1980's as if I was saying you shouldn't. I never said that. Yeah, that seems to be an assumption as I clearly stated the Kirby thing I didn't get.

3. I made that assumption because that's all I referred to. I didn't expect you just to take it to something else an act as if I should understand what that was without you clearly stating it. Since I talked about the trashing of Kirby, I assumed you were talking about the same thing.

4. But yet you did bring it up when I didn't. And like I said, I have no problem with it.

So let's summarize here. I responded to this guys post that it was good smack. That the trashing Kirby thread seemed petty and I didn't get the reason for it. You responded that I would never understand it if I was born post 1980, which makes no sense. Then proceed to say that Kirby is a good coach and you weren't responding to that, which is all I really talked about.

So I don't think I'm the only one that's not getting it here.

It hurt for a long time, I won't deny it.
Going 11-1 the following season when we're supposed to be rebuilding is pretty good salve for that wound.
We're focused on the future, not the past.
Maybe you should try it.
