fricking sad how desperate he is with life out of the limelight.

Dude genuinely seems like an incredibly nice person, but somebody should lock him up for his own safety, cuz he's fricking nuts.

He's enjoying himself, not rotting away like so many ex-athletes and, as far as I know, is financially and socially stable. Would that we had more former pro athletes that are "fricking nuts".

That's not to say I'd ever encourage him to return to the NFL, but he seems to be doing just fine for himself nowadays.

Nice post... obviously HW isn't gonna play football again, but what other 53 yr. old would you even ask this question of? The fact that there's even a debate shows what kinda athlete HW is at 53...

Also, anyone who doesn't know that Herschel is purely trolling/messing with the reporter isn't too bright...

I didn't watch the video, just read the write-up, so I assumed it was a wistful thought that he wishes and almost-but-not-quite believes could be true.

If JJ Watt can juice and get away with so can Herschel. Go for it.

I have no reason to defend JJ, but he seems like a pretty decent person. I'm leaning toward him just being a freak of nature. There are several of those types on the NFL.
