Tenner got extremely lucky to beat Alabama. Tenner played well but Alabama played their worst game in years and still should have won pretty easily - would have easily won by 14 if PI calls were equal. Despite everything that went against them Alabama had the ball 1st and 10 at the Tenner 31 with 30 seconds left and somehow managed to lose and now Tenner thinks they're a Playoff team. They are NOT. Tenner doesn't have the athletes on their roster to match up with UGA or Alabama - and those SEC comparisons are all that matters for their Playoff hopes. Tenner got lucky against Alabama and is playing well now on momentum, emotion, and false confidence in a shitty defense that will give up 500-800 yards of offense (and 50 points or more) against any top 5 team. Tenner is a false facade. UGA will be a double digit favorite again before kickoff and Alabama will be double digit favorites again also if and when they play Tenner again. It takes a full team of quality athletes to win the big games across a full season. Tenner is out of it's league now and bleak reality will kick their defense in the arse in Athens.

The good news for Tenner is beyond Ohio State there are a bunch of shitty teams in the top 10 and Tenner is probably better than the bottom half of the top 10. They are not better than any of the top 5 and will lose to any top 5 team they play the rest of the year. No Playoffs for Tenner in 2022 and the Heisman will slip away from Hooker when UGA shuts him down.

Offense alone will not be enough to win the next big game Tennessee plays. Defense will determine the winner of the BIG games to come and Tennessee doesn't have the athletes to win the BIG games left on the schedule.

I expect it to be uphill battle for Tennessee to beat Georgia. More than likely this will be our only loss this year. But give us another year or two and I can see Tennessee over the east division. It should be a good game. If Tennessee loses hope it’s least it’s a close game.

You spoke pure facts especially with the Tennessee getting lucky part.

Had we not gifted you a scoop and score you wouldn't have even been close enough to try to win at the end.

Alabama was very lucky to have even still been in the game. You can thank Hooker for that largesse.

You were lucky.

Tennessee getting lucky part.

Sometimes a team makes its own luck, and sometimes they put themselves in position to take advantage of that which is beyond their control. The latter absolutely happened for Tennessee against UA this year, and perhaps even a bit of the former.

If UGA gets prone to mistakes against UT, mayhaps they can do so again. Mizzou capitalized upon every mistake UGA made in their game, and seized momentum to keep UGA on the ropes.

However, UT won't have the home crowd to help them seize, hold, and exploit momentum, as they did against UA and Mizzou did against us.

So lucky we put how many points on that unbeatable team of yours? Say it...tell us how many points?

Lucky is having the refs gift wrap the Texas and Texas A&M games for you. Bammer should have 3 losses right now.

Yes, we got luckiy to have a straight crew for our game. They called your cheating asses for legitimate penalties instead of giving you another game.

frick Alabama. No one fears you. You are no longer the best team in the nation.

1. Get Tenn away from home away from the cult voodoo.
2. Get some refs that call fairly.
Georgia beats Tenn because its at Georgia. But I'd rather see Bama and Tenn again in the SECCG.

Every single penalty called on Bammer was legitimate.

Actually that game was reviewed by the SEC ref crews and found to be the worst called game of the entire year. It prompted reprimands by head officials. The next week the ref crews called penalties on Miss St for shots on Young that were very minimal compared to what Tenn got away with. Face it, the ref crews got caught up in the Bama/Tenn game and played an integral part in the outcome. That game was full of ref mistakes.

Bama lost because they didn't attempt to cover on many occasions. I mean I don't know what the one Bama defender was thinking just cutting lose a guy running straight at him. It wasn't some disguise or place he was suppose to switch. Just stood there on his spot, the guy right in front of him running full speed, and acted like he was waiting on a bus or something. If he thought there was a safety back there to take him, he was sadly mistaken.

I would have to think we'll do better than that.

This post makes me hard but:

false facade

This bothers me...semantically. I want to call it redundant but it is a literal possibility. However, if it is truly a "false facade" that would make it the real deal, no?

True.

You just want to cherry pick luck.

Bama made a TON of mistakes. Very undiciplined. Worst I've seen Bama play in a very long time.

And you won by three.

You had plenty of luck yourselves.

Unlikely considering your HC is likely going to get plucked by the NFL this year or next

All henges on Hooker. If UT can protect him from that DL and those creative Kirby blitz packages, there is no way UGA secondary can cover the UT receivers long enough. If they give him time, Hooker will touch that Dawgs secondary.
