OP has missed the boat entirely on this analysis. Ok, so it is true that College Baseball (thus far) has not matched up to the Football and Basketball billing. But it has nothing to do with OP's argument.
The reason college baseball can't break through is because MLB burns everybody out! Each team plays 162 games! How many thousands of games is that? And every bit of it gets on TV!
However, I still predict that SEC baseball is going to take a bump in fan interest and viewership. This is too good a conference to ignore, and the South loves its baseball. I expect ESPN to offer expanding coverage of SEC baseball, well beyond the streaming networks.
But anyway, OP's point is way off. It's simply because MLB wears everybody out.
