You can disagree and I expect that you do. But don't say there is no rational reason...that's like me saying there is no rational reason to think that AU paid Cam. There IS a rational reason to believe that AU paid Cam...in my opinion there is more rational reason to believe that AU did not...chief among them, complete and total lack of evidence.

all the circumstantial evidence points towards Auburn paying Cam/Cecil
Esp the idea that Cecil was shopping him, Cecil unexpectedly told him to switch his commitment, and perhaps that Cam confessed the money was too good to pass up
I've yet to see credible financial evidence but the other circumstantial evidence is pretty damn suspicious

It really is sad. Just admit you don't like Auburn, you are ashamed because you made fun of Gene, Cam, Gus etc... and they just did something no LSU team has ever done, and you are jealous. LSU should be much better than AU next year so you only have to deal with it for 9 months or so. Just man up and deal with it and quit crying like a little girl.

I'm sure he was...and I'm sure Cecil told him what he told everyone else: Auburn's future is bright (check), Easier to get to games (check), son would get beat like a rented mule...referring to AU having a better offensive line (check), offense that better showcases his son's skills (Heisman, check).

Jealousy of Auburn in particular is just a weird thing to think anyway... when the schools mentioned (Bama, LSU, Florida) have been more successful lately
I didn't like it when Bama and Florida won their NCs because they are rivals and them being good does LSU no good... but I didn't think they were cheating because there was nothing so flagrant as the Cam Newton story hanging over their head

No not really,, when you factor in LSU being overrated going into next year and everybody underestimating Auburn(once again) we wont be that far apart. I hate how Auburn fans on this site feel the need to overplay LSU and downplay AU to fit in.

Actually, you haven't seen credible financial evidence, nor have you seen circumstantial evidence to suggest AU paid Cam. You have drawn the conclusions that best fit your desired outcome (AU forfeiting games).

Dude I am the last person on here who is going to kiss anyone's arse but any logical person could conclude we are going to take a major step back next year. We lose too much and Tuberville's last two recruiting classes were less than stellar. 2012 and 2013 should be good but all signs point to struggling next year. Luckily we just went 14-0 so that will take some of the sting out of any rebuilding we have to do next season.

I dont understand why people think LSU is jealous.
Florida being jealous makes a little sense, but that's b/c he left there (for whatever reason it was). Now Bama fans being jealous? That's more than likely (some...not all). We're always jealous of each other and trying to one up each other. That rivalry is never ending in this state...even when it's not football season.
