LSU in 97 had no 3-game championship series and no Super. FWIW that team smashed 188 hr

Whether the circumstances involve sports events, weather phenomena, various catastrophes, etc., we tend to see the most recent incident as the most spectacular. However, upon further review, history reveals that it's all happened before. In the current question, we can't overlook the superb LSU teams of the 1990s before anointing this UTK team as the best ever. Of course, if Texas A&M wins, the question is moot. I guess in that case, the subject shifts to A&M as the best ever in the SEC.

Vandy won the SEC outright in 2019, and won 23 SEC games (to UT's 22). Also won SECT and CWS. Also didn't have the luxury of playing a 4 seed in the Supers. UT would have no claim to being best SEC team ever.
